One of my favorite holidays is New Years. It’s the time we get to see our life with fresh new eyes and set the goals we desire to achieve. I think of it as when a little child comes into this world (as we all once were), and is experiencing things for the very first time. They look upon things with an innocent curiosity. They don’t judge, they just explore and experience.
This is how I intend to start out my year, like a child, yet with goals and desires that I feel will make my life even better! I sit and ponder with deep reflection on what it is I truly want for the year. I journal about it, I make a vision board and I share my thoughts with others so that I feel I am being held accountable for my commitments.
However, do I follow through? Not always. I must admit I am becoming better at it. Remembering to commit with urgency helps, along with having an extremely meaningful WHY to my commitment. When I don’t remember, I just start again, wherever I am at.
Two of my commitments this year are increasing my cardio (running- 3 times a week) and listening to my intuition. Why run? Well, to keep myself (mind, body and spirit) be healthy. After all, this is the year I turn the big 50. And why listen to my intuition? Because I feel if I can get in touch with that, life will be easy, it will just flow. I get in my head…a lot! In trusting and following my intuition, it helps me to not overthink. And, wow! that will lead me to some new found freedom!! WooHoo! Who doesn’t want freedom?!
It’s all in perspective. Everything is. Taking life 1 year, 1 month, 1 week, 1 day, 1 moment at time.
Appreciate you for taking the time to read this.
Take care!
